Welcome to Holy Cross Parish. We are located at the juncture of the Near Northwest and LaSalle neighborhoods of South Bend, Indiana. Our parish and school are linchpins in this area of the city that enjoys a wonderful racial diversity and a strong community spirit.
Holy Cross Parish has a long and rich history, together with our parish school, one of the oldest Catholic schools in the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. Go anywhere in the South Bend area and you’re bound to meet former parishioners and alums who speak so highly of their experience in the parish or school. Our current parishioners exhibit pride in and great dedication to Holy Cross Parish. There is a real energy and enthusiasm in the parish, a great deal of talent as well as a deep sense of commitment.
The parish is sponsored by the Congregation of Holy Cross Priests and Brothers. Founded in the mid-19th century along with the Holy Cross Sisters, many people experience in us a strong sense of hospitality, warmth and family spirit, qualities that are infused in our various ministries and which our parishioners experience here at Holy Cross Parish.
Along with the liturgical and sacramental life of the parish, there are many parish programs and activities that spiritually nourish our parishioners as well as support them in making a positive contribution to the life of our local community.
