Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EM’s) are often needed to assist the priests and distribute the Body and Blood of Christ during Mass. Serving as an EM is a true gift as you get to literally get to share Jesus with others!
EM’s typically serve once every few weeks at their normally attended Mass, and training is offered to those that are new to the ministry. EM’s serve at all weekend liturgies (Saturday at 4 p.m., Sunday at 8:30 and 10:30 a.m.), as well as holy days. You can request to only be scheduled for certain Mass(es) and day(s).
