“Evangelization is the Church’s deepest identity. Evangelization brings the good news of the Gospel to all who seek the life-giving message of faith in Jesus Christ.” United States Conference of Catholic Bishops. We evangelize because the Lord Jesus commanded us to do so: “Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” Mt. 28: 19-20
Holy Cross Parish seeks to bring the Good News of Jesus Christ to our neighborhood in a variety of ways, most especially by offering engaging liturgies to which all are welcome. Our Parish School is an important means by which we share the teachings of Jesus Christ with our students and their families. Our parish evangelizes through our central location in the Near Northwest/LaSalle neighborhoods of the city and our Christian service outreach to the area, in particular through our Neighborhood Engagement Team.
