Welcome to Holy Cross Parish Catechesis! We are grateful to have your child(ren) with us as we grow in faith together! At Holy Cross Parish, we seek to help children encounter Christ and live out their faith in their everyday lives.
2026-27 Catechesis – Registration now open!
Traditional Catechesis/Sacramental Prep/OCIC classes will be held on WEDNESDAYS from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Parish Center (920 Wilber Street).
Catechesis of the Good Shepherd Level I (for children ages 3-6) will be held on WEDNESDAYS from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. (Students at Holy Cross School will be walked over at 3 p.m. from the school building to the Parish Center for class, with a brief snack/play time before class.)
All classes will start on Wednesday, September 23rd and will end on Wednesday, May 5th.
METHOD OPTIONS
-Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (Level I for ages 3-6, Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.)
-Traditional Catechesis (for children who are not preparing for a sacrament)

-First Reconciliation/First Communion Preparation (for baptized children in 2nd grade and above)
-Confirmation Preparation (for children in 7th grade and above, who are baptized and have made their First Reconciliation and First Communion)
-Order of Christian Initiation Adapted for Children (Becoming Catholic/Sacramental Preparation for children over the age of 7 who have not been baptized or who have been baptized in another religious denomination.)
FEES AND DOCUMENTATION
The class registration fee is $40 per student. For students in their second year of sacramental preparation (most often in grades 2 and 8), an additional $40 fee covers expenses for sacramental preparation materials, retreat, etc. Financial assistance is available upon request.
